Education Diplomacy cultivates trust to achieve mutual benefits through the use of educational exchange and use of diplomatic skills to communicate across cultural, national, and religious boundaries.

Education Diplomacy is a relatively new field of research and activity. Often applied to emerging and underdeveloped countries for self-advocacy, we focus on regional and global educational initiatives centered on relationship building and long-path cooperation.

Israel Advocacy has become a reactionary approach – in defense of a cause – in defense of Israel. It seems to me that the Jewish world of pro-Israel organizations and agencies should consider a proactive approach that takes the form of diplomacy as a formula for educating others leading to relationships and collaborations that can extend beyond the short-sighted approach of merely “defending Israel”.
